Digital cameras are great. Taking tons of pictures and then archiving them without checking them out becomes second nature. I passed over a few neat shots because of that. This is the third year I've seen these winter animals pop up in the most unlikely of places. These two elephants were hiding in between two shops in the town of Ettal. I couldn't resist the picture....

Ettal is well known for the local abbey and it's monks. The monks make beer but I doubt that's what attracts all the visitors to the area. It's gotta be the mysterious snow elephants that are in hiding throughout the year.

As part of routine housekeeping, I ran across this image on my computer. It's the headquarters of the Maersk Shipping Lines. Maersk is a Danish shipping company that travels all over the world. As a child I used to sit on the banks of the Panama Canal and watch the Maersk ships pass through and wonder what it was like where they came from. Well, now I can say that I know. Pretty neat for me.
All Rights are Reserved by PanamaJim.
